J.G. Sumner’s A Shot in the Dark #VirtualBookTour #Review #Giveaway

The synopsis of this book sounded pretty interesting, but not having read anything by J.G. Sumner before, I wasn’t sure how it’s be. Well, I loved it! It held my attention with three or four different, but interconnected, plotlines. There are some budding romances, a stalker, and an attempted murder. It sounds like too much going on at once, but the author kept everyone and everything straight so it was easy to follow and enjoy.

Being the two main characters are a nurse and a doctor, please be advised there is some medical-ese when they’re dealing with patients. But, even if you don’t know exactly what they’re talking about, it doesn’t detract from the story.

I love the banter between the characters. It’s easy and feels so natural it draws you in and make you want to keep reading. Things were tied up by the end of the book, but to me it feels like things were left just open enough to be brought into a second book. There is a second book, so hopefully it will continue the stories from this one.

Get this book and enjoy. There seems to be a Happily Ever After or two.
