Jinx and Tonic by Gina LaManna #Reviews

These are my Happily Ever After Novel Thoughts…

teaser-4Welcome back to the Isle!

The Trials have began and Lily finds herself in over her head and not by her own doing. She is racing against the clock and things are looking grim. With a death and several attempted murders, things have never been so dire or chaotic on the island.

There is a magic that is all consuming in every sense of the word. How can you fight something you can’t see and show no traces of after the fact? How do you fight something that had never been fought off successfully?

There are quite a few twists and turns in this story and I had no clue where we were headed. I felt fairly certain of one aspect but was totally off base!! It made for a more enjoyable read. I couldn’t put it down until it was finished!

Grab your copy and visit The Isle for a chance to find yourself a Happily Ever After.

Ahhhh! This book…. where do I even begin? I think I say it every single time, but this is by far jinx-teaser-1Gina’s best work to date. The pieces to the puzzle are starting to fall into place little by little only to for you to realize that the puzzle is bigger than you realized and there are more pieces you need to complete it.

The world Gina has brought to life is just fascinating, we get to explore a new piece of the Isle and the descriptions of are tangible. I lived and breathed this book. Days later and I still can’t get enough. I hope Gina is writing the next book in the series. The next book in this series will definitely be one of my most anticipated books of 2017.

Ranger X is still just as captivating and swoony as the first two books, if not more. Lily is really sinking into her role as Mixologist and we learn more about other side characters and we get more returning roles. I kept thinking I knew what was happened, but when then the rug was pulled out from under me and I just fell flat and totally thrilled that I had no idea it was coming.

If you haven’t started this series. JUMP. ON. IT.

teaser-3The plot thickens in this wonderful addition to the series.

Lily is attending the Trials for the new Rangers when something horrible happens. As her cousin Zin is one of the candidates Lily is even more eager to find out what is going on and how she can help as the Mixologist. She is part of a secret group, but she fears keeping secrets from Ranger X will hurt their relationship. And where does that beautiful lily come from? Does it grow on the island? Who delivered it?

Gina LaManna once again cleverly weaves a story that flows and whirls and pulls you in. The Isle is a magical world but not without a very dark side. To save the man she loves, Lily (again) must do things she fears. Pieces of the puzzle start falling into place and what happens in this book seems to be only the beginning.

I so enjoyed this story and highly recommend! I can’t wait to see where the next book will lead to.

Let the Trials begin…

jink-and-tonicThe time has finally arrived! The Trials are in full swing and celebratory parties fill The Isle as Candidates go head-to-head to prove themselves worthy of the coveted Ranger title. Drinks, dances, and masquerade balls set the stage for a glamorous series of events until suddenly, it all changes.

The most dangerous criminal on the island escapes from prison. Tragedy strikes. The Isle is thrown into chaos due to old, forbidden black magic, and only one person can help.

As the island’s Mixologist, Lily is expected to step in and save the day. When she’s forced to keep secrets from X while deciphering decades old clues, however, she’s pushed to the edges of her sanity.

With the help of her family, The Core, and her new boyfriend, X, Lily must stop The Puppeteer from taking over the island before it’s too late.

Because if she doesn’t succeed, nobody will.

Welcome to The Isle…

hex-coverLily Locke has never believed in witches and wizards, ghosts and magic, shifters and vampires—especially cute blonde vamps with blood-intolerance issues. A rising star at a hotshot marketing agency in Minneapolis, Minnesota, all Lily knows is that she’s a PowerPoint guru, an Excel ninja, and a coffee-maker extraordinaire. Not to mention she’s next in line for a huge promotion.

All that changes when Lily’s assistant delivers a strange quiz to her, one titled A Magical Assessment for Normal Folks. With it comes the promise of a land she’s never known existed. A land where Lily not only discovers her biological family for the first time, but a place where she can make a difference, change lives, and step into the role she’s destined to fulfill.

But first, Lily must admit she’s a witch. Then, she has to acknowledge that the tall, dark, and mysterious man who offers his help is strictly focused on business…at least, for now. When a body turns up dead and the next target is Lily, she must trust her powers and accept the help of her newfound friends. Otherwise, she’ll never survive the trials of the magical island tucked far, far away in the frigid waters of Lake Superior.

Welcome to The Isle.
