When Officer Rick Boyd answers a call about a peeping Tom, he doesn’t expect to find a gorgeous woman holding the binoculars. But Gina Silvano’s no peeping Tom, and she can catch her cupcake truck’s kinky vandals herself, thank you very much. No sexy cops required.
No matter how hot their stakeouts, by-the-book Officer Boyd can’t see a future with a dangerous, rule-breaking wild-child who despises the law. He’s never felt more alive, though, and expunging her from his heart might be impossible.
But loving each other might cost them more than they are able to give.
Gina and Rick meet in an unusual way: he is a cop called for a ‘peeping tom’ who turns out to be Gina. She is keeping an eye on her food truck as it has been broken into a couple of times and she suspects her ex.
Gina and Rick are total opposites. He is a by-the-book cop and and Gina likes the grey area sometimes (okay, a lot!) . They are instantly attracted to each other and he offers to help her with her stake-out on the roof. Slowly but surely they fall in love. But can two people so different make it work?
This book had so many funny moments and I loved the snarky Gina, although I could also understand Rick’s point of view. It is a very cute romcom with some steam and a lot of laughs.
