Get Lucky by Lila Monroe

What happens when you wake up in a hotel suite next to a gorgeous naked man with absolutely no memory of the past twelve hours?

I guess it’s true what they say. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Or at least I hope it stays here. The Romantic Style convention was meant to be a weekend of raucous fun with friends, sun, and enough poolside margaritas to forget about my ex. But now, instead of meeting my fans and signing books, I’m stuck with cocky divorce lawyer Nate Wexler. He’s arrogant, infuriating, and I can’t keep my hands off of him. Judging by the state of our hotel room, last night was wild. I just wish I could remember it.

4 stars

Get Lucky is the first Lila Monroe book I have read. And what a fun ride it was!

Julia and Nate wake up together after what must have been a wild night.

With a massive hangover, they both have trouble remembering the night before. Only yesterday they bumped into each other in Vegas, with a mutual instant dislike.

Julia is a newly-divorced romance author, in Vegas for a convention. Nate is a divorce lawyer and he is there for a wedding. Shocked they both try to move on as if nothing has happened, but when the manager of the hotel confronts them with a certain video, they have no choice. They must try to piece together what they know about last night.

The story is told from dual POV and with flashbacks to the day and night before. And wow, was that some night!! While Julia and Nate trace their own tracks they are bickering and bantering and they slowly realize that maybe opposites indeed attract.

I had so much fun with this story. The chemistry betweenJulia/Nate was sizzling. And all the things they did in just one night! Nice epilogue.
